Reader-first standards
Each page should answer a practical question without requiring the reader to open a chain of near-duplicate articles. Overlapping legacy topics are consolidated into cornerstone guides.
Animal welfare
Content prioritizes adequate adult care, stable water, humane handling, grow-out capacity and responsible rehoming. The site does not treat high fry counts as the primary definition of success.
Evidence and uncertainty
Specific biological claims are checked against primary or authoritative sources where practical. When reliable sources differ or a requirement is strain-specific, the page states the uncertainty instead of inventing one universal number.
Product and treatment claims
The site does not claim hands-on testing unless that has actually occurred. It does not publish medication dosing calculators or automatic product rankings. Equipment guides explain functions and questions to ask.
Updates and corrections
Pages may be updated when standards, regulations or reliable evidence change. Material corrections are noted internally and applied across related pages where needed.
