Source hierarchy
Veterinary manuals, government agencies, university extension services, legislation and scientific species databases are preferred for health, biosecurity, invasive-species, water-quality and biological claims. Manufacturer instructions are used only for the manufacturer’s own equipment or product.

Species pages
Species profiles intentionally avoid pretending that one exact temperature, pH or timeline applies to every domestic strain or location form. Readers should verify the exact fish using a current species reference, reputable breeder documentation and their own measured water.
Tool methodology
Volume and percentage tools use ordinary arithmetic. Budget tools use only values entered by the visitor. Timeline tools require the visitor to supply species-specific timing. Logs use browser local storage and can be exported; the server does not retain a copy.
Illustrations
The guppy-pair and angelfish-pair images are original lightweight SVG illustrations created for this replacement site. They add context without external image downloads or third-party licensing dependencies.
